Individual Counseling: individual counseling is an opportunity to work one-on-one with a professional to address issues in your life that are presently occurring, or that have previously occurred, which, in some way, prevent you from confidently moving forward with your life. Individual counseling facilitates the exploration and resolution of personal problems and issues according to your particular needs. As you continue sessions with your counselor, you will start building trust which will enable you to share things that you previously never wanted to talk about; a counselor may ask leading questions about you, your family, your occupation, etc. You will work with your counselor to design strategies, if necessary, that you may not have thought of to problem solve your issues. Individual counseling is very effective for people that hold back from talking in groups, and, also, for those people that take on other people's issues through the group process.
