Online Wellness Association operates in the cyber world of the global internet under the URL: www.onlinewellnessassociation.com, and other registered domain names related to the main URL listed her. Online Wellness Association understands that the presence of wellness practitioners offering services online is increasing. Online Wellness Association recognizes the internet as a viable way of offering services worldwide. Online Wellness Association understands that it is important for professionals in the healing fields be identified as ‘legitimate professionals’ as practices are established on the world of the internet. The goal of Online Wellness Association is to provide a safe platform for practitioners to offer legitimate services, and for potential clients to feel safe when choosing a practitioner. The Online Wellness Seal of Approval is an immediate visual indicator of authenticity and validity between practitioner and client. The Online Wellness Association is a member-based organization designed to bring legitimate professionals and individuals seeking health and wellness services together on a safe platform to exchange information, services, and products. Membership is required to access all of the features of our website, although the general public may explore the services that are available with a simple registration process. Professional membership is granted to all wellness practitioners meeting the membership requirements and agreeing to all the terms and conditions contained listed below. Online Wellness Association reserves the right to change the terms listed below as needed. Modifications to this document will be effective immediately upon posting of them modified agreement. Members will be notified of changes after the postings. Members agree to review the Disclaimer page periodically to be aware of such modifications and continued access or use of the site will indicate acceptance to be bound by any modifications.
1.1 Terms of Membership
Professional members are practitioners in any practice related to wellness whom have been accepted by Online Wellness Association based upon the specified criteria. Online Wellness is set apart from other online therapy services based on the extra efforts taken to assure the professionalism and legitimacy of all member practitioners. Members must agree to scrutiny of their professional intentions through a background check, credential check, and verification by four recent professional references.
Background checks are completed by a third party investigation service. Online Wellness Association will only receive communication from the investigation service that the applicant has either ‘passed’ the background check, or that the Online Wellness Association administration staff ‘will need to discuss the findings with the applicant’. Online Wellness Association does NOT receive any of the compiled investigative information. NOTE: Having a felony conviction does not necessarily exclude you from being a member of Online Wellness Association, particularly if you have actively established yourself in the field of your specialty. However, the following felony convictions will exclude membership in Online Wellness Association: Pedophilia, Domestic Violence, Rape, Stalking, Technology Related Crimes, and Identity Theft. In addition, you may also be excluded if you have lost your certification or license based on ethical misconduct.
Applicants must submit a copy of credentials, copies of any licenses, certifications, degrees, required to practice in their field. Credentials are verified through the credentialing agency, organization, association, or academic issuant stated on the document(s) presented.
Four recent professional references of colleagues in the applicant’s field who are familiar with their work, credentials, and integrity are required. References must be notified in advance that an Online Wellness Association staff member is contacting them for identity verification.
Processing of applicant’s application may take up to two weeks for completion. Online Wellness Association professional members must agree to adhere to the ethical standards, best practices, HIPPA guidelines of their wellness associations, and any other federal and state requirements that govern their professional conduct. All professional members must agree to hold the best interest of the clients and the client’s safety in the highest regard. Violation of any of these standards, or, complaints and information from present, past, and future clients, particularly those acquired while members of Online Wellness Association, will be considered as a basis for determining discontinuing membership. If a member is disqualified after being granted membership because of misbehavior or unethical practices, no refund of membership fees will be granted and the member will be barred from future membership.
Only after an Online Wellness Association applicant has met all the above terms and conditions are they granted the use of the Online Wellness Association Seal of Approval.
1.1a Membership Information
Online Wellness Association is committed protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected about our members and users through our membership and/or registration process. Online Wellness Association strives to balance the legitimate business interests of our website in collecting and using information against the users reasonable expectations of privacy on the internet. Online Wellness Association does not collect personally identifying information about individuals, except when specifically and knowingly provided by individuals through our membership and registration process. Online Wellness Association does not share with any other site, agency, individual, or entity any information provided on the membership application, background checks, reference checks, or any other informational document. Online Wellness Association holds the highest value on member privacy and does not make ‘permitted’ disclosures without advising the member and receiving written consent or authorization for disclosure. Information provided by users to Online Wellness Association is maintained on a secured server at all times. NOTE: Online Wellness Association does NOT ask for social security numbers. Also, please note that Online Wellness Association does not control the privacy policies of its advertisers, sponsors, business partners, or other sites to which Online Wellness Association provides hyperlinks.
1.2 The Seal of Approval
The Online Wellness Association is an official immediate visual recognition that the person represented on the website is ‘in good standing as an Online Wellness Association Member’. The Online Wellness Association Seal of Approval recognition certifies that the person indicated on the website is ‘who’ they say they are, have the credentials, knowledge, etc, to offer their services, and are ‘established’ to offer their services to the public. The Online Wellness Association Seal of Approval is an indicator of authenticity between practitioner and client. Professional Members are granted the use of the Online Wellness Association Seal of Approval once they have met the terms and conditions stated in 1.1. The Online Wellness Association Seal of Approval may then be attached to the member’s professional website. The Online Wellness Association Seal of Approval is copyrighted and can only be used with the written consent of Online Wellness Association. Online Wellness Association is not responsible for the day-to-day operations of the member’s practices. However, Online Wellness Association retains the right to discontinue membership of any Online Wellness Association member that violates the trust and integrity of the Online Wellness Association terms and conditions. If a membership is discontinued for any reason, the Online Wellness Seal of Approval must be removed from the ex-members site within seven (7) days of notification of discontinuing membership.
1.3 Use of the Website
Users assume total responsibility and risk for use of the Online Website Association and the internet in general. Online Wellness Association provides the website information based on information provided by the members and other contributors and makes every effort to verify that information, particularly with members as described above in 1.1 Terms of Membership. With the exclusion of following the policies, procedure, and guidelines for approving membership, Online Wellness Association does not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatsoever, including without limitation warranties or title or non-infringement, or the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the service, any merchandise information or service provided through the service or on the internet generally, and Online Wellness Association shall not be liable for any cost or damage arising either directly or indirectly from any such transaction. It is solely the responsibility of Online Wellness Association to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all opinions, advice, services, merchandise, and other information provided through the service or on the internet generally. Online Wellness Association does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defects in the service will be corrected.
Online Wellness Association cannot and does not guarantee or warrant that files available for downloading through the Online Wellness Association website will be free of infection or viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other code that manifest contaminating or destructive properties. Users are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy their particular requirement for accuracy of data input and output, and for maintain a means external to the website for the reconstruction of any lost data.

Online Wellness Association does not accept confidential or proprietary information from users through this website. Any material, information, or other communication the user transmits or posts to the Online Wellness Association website will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. Users may submit feedback and comments and provide other content as long as the content is not obscene, illegal, threatening, or defamatory and does not invade the privacy or infringe the intellectual property of a third party. 2. Indemnification
The user agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Online Wellness Association, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, members, suppliers, and any third party information providers to the website from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of this agreement, including negligent or wrongful conduct by user or any other person access the Online Wellness Association website.
3. Third Party Rights

4. Term; Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement without notice at any time for any reason. The provisions of paragraphs 1.3 Use of the Website, 1.3b Copyright, Licenses and Idea Submissions, 2. Indemnification, 3. Third Party Rights, and 5. Miscellaneous, shall survive any termination of this Agreement.
5. Miscellaneous
This Agreement shall all be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of The United States of America applicable to agreements made and to be performed in The United States of America. Users agree that any legal action or proceeding between Online Wellness Association and user for any purpose concerning this Agreement or the parties’ obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in The United States of America. Any cause of action or claim user may have with respect to the website must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises or such claim or cause of action is barred. Online Wellness Association’s failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement. Online Wellness Association may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to the user.
